The Department of Film Studies and the Centre for Screen Cultures at the University of St Andrews are delighted to host an online book launch for a new collection on eco-cinema.
Please join us in celebrating the publication of the edited collection Cinematic Ecosystems: Screen Encounters with More-than-humans in the Era of Environmental Crisis, edited by Mary Hegedus and Jessica Mulvogue. This ninety-minute book launch will feature a screening of Lisa Jackson’s short film Lichen (2019) and short talks by the editors and four of the book’s contributors: Marek Jancovic (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Scott Birdwise (Ontario College of Art & Design), Ariadna Cordal (Pompeo Fabra University) and Brenda Longfellow (York University, Toronto). There will be plenty of time for Q&A!
The event will take place at 3pm on Friday 6 March 2026. Please book your place using this Eventbrite link.
