(Im)material Worlds at Sands International Film Festival of St Andrews

Sands International Film Festival of St Andrews features the (Im)material Worlds programme, hosted by the Centre for Screen Cultures. This is an  artists’ moving image programme that gives focus to the environmental crisis from Global South and postcolonial perspectives. It brings together recent and new moving image work by Southeast Asian and UK-based artists and filmmakers, who use experimental and essayistic forms to explore communities, habitats and places through their colonial, political, military and environmental histories.

The programme at Sands offers an opportunity to watch and discuss the films with some of the filmmakers themselves. To view the programme and book a (free!) place, visit: https://sands-iff.com/2022-films/
